The Special offering for the month of April is: One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS). One Great Hour of Sharing is an offering that makes the love of Christ real for individuals and communities around the world who suffer the effects of disaster, conflict, or severe economic hardship, and for those who serve them through gifts of money and time. Today, projects are underway in more than 100 countries, including the United States and Canada. In the 1990s, receipts have exceeded $20 million annually. The UCC uses their One Great Hour of Sharing funds to make possible disaster relief, refugee assistance, development aid and more. There are specially marked envelopes in the pews for your donations. Thank you for your support of our special offerings.
Mark your calendars! The Annual Meeting of the MN Conference United Church of Christ is June 7-8. This is great opportunity to hear what is taking place in the life of the conference, go to workshops, meet new people, and get new ideas. If you want more information talk with Rev. Sara or Mary Russell.
Our next Sunday school is Sunday, April 21 at 9:15 a.m.
Fare for all express will be here Wednesday, May 1, 4-6 p.m. Stay tuned for the ‘Hot Buy’ of the month! For more information check out www.fareforall.org
Knitting/Crochet Baskets – a gift from the family of JoAnn Hanson in memory of her love of this art and this community. If you like to have busy hands while participating in worship, grab a basket and follow the enclosed pattern. The patterns in the baskets are prayer shawls that once completed will be given to members and friends of our faith community who need to feel the warm embrace of the Holy through the many hands who made it. If you need a knitting/crochet lesson, see Charlie or Bonnie.
Called to Care is a visitation ministry of this congregation. Lay persons work closely with the pastor in visiting members and friends of our congregation who are need of a personal connection, prayer and communion. If you would like a visit or if you would not like to receive a visit at this time, let Rev. Sara know.
Our Annual Baby Shower will be Sunday, May 5th following worship in our fellowship hall. This event includes a potluck meal, so bring a dish to pass. If you would like to get specific items for Gillette Children’s Hospital or Regions Hospital, see the list below:

Hazel Park UCC has a Building Fund. This fund is used for major capital improvements. The latest improvement was three new furnaces and duct work completed last year. Your generous donations to this fund help make this happen. Label your envelope or the memo line of your check: building fund. And thank you for your generosity!
Hazel Park UCC also has a Memorial Fund. This fund supports special ministry opportunities in memory or honor of individuals in the life of our congregation. There are designated and undesignated funds. If you would like to leave a lasting legacy consider giving to this fund. If you would like to know more information, contact David.
