Please consider an additional gift to support HPCUCC! At our September Congregational Meeting, the Board of Trustees updated the congregation on the current financial situation for the last quarter of 2025. We started the year with what we knew to be a deficit budget (i.e., our expenses would exceed our income), and we have managed, with generous contributions and significant grants, to make it through the year thus far. We have, however, encountered several expenses that have strained our finances further:

  • Cost overruns on both our window replacement and asbestos removal projects. (the vast majority of these projects were funded by grants).

  • Replacement of our largest furnace and one of our hot water heaters.

  • The closure of Hazel Park Learning Center after 8 years in business.

We have set up of a Deficit Reduction Fund with a goal of $25,000. We are asking each member to consider an additional gift to the church during the last quarter of this year – if possible, two additional months contributions. Thus far, we are happy to say we have already collected over $4,000. Thank you for your consideration.
