Community Outreach

At Hazel Park UCC, our Community Outreach ministry reflects our commitment to loving our neighbors through compassionate action and service. We actively partner with organizations like Listening House of St. Paul, which provides hospitality and support to unhoused and low-income individuals, and we support Neighbors in Need, a United Church of Christ initiative that funds justice and service projects across the country. Whether it's offering direct aid, advocating for systemic change, or showing up in solidarity, our outreach ministry is how we put our faith into action and live out the Gospel in our community.

  • The Listening House

The Listening House of St. Paul is a nonprofit organization in Minnesota that serves as a daytime drop-in center for individuals experiencing homelessness, poverty, or social isolation. Known as the "living room for the homeless," it provides a welcoming and safe environment where guests can rest, connect with others, and access essential services like food, clothing, hygiene supplies, and referrals to community resources. Its mission emphasizes dignity, respect, and support for all who enter its doors.

  • Neighbors In Need (UCC)

Neighbors in Need is a special mission offering of the UCC that supports ministries of justice and compassion across the United States. It provides funding for initiatives addressing systemic injustice, advocacy for marginalized communities, and direct service programs that meet critical needs, such as food security and housing. A portion of NIN funds also supports the Council for American Indian Ministry, working with Native American communities within the UCC.
